More OpenAI GPT integrations
In 2023, we introduced support for ChatGPT plugins, allowing you to quickly build APIs that integrate with ChatGPT, teaching it new knowledge in real-time. And now we are adding support for GPTs, the new OpenAI mechanism that allow users to design conversation models with specific conversational tones and domain-focused knowledge that is served in real-time by APIs. With RAW, you can easily craft these bespoke APIs, which can range from sharing personal cooking recipes to offering secure access to a company’s CRM system. This feature is now available in closed beta and will be General Availability (GA) very soon!
Introducing SQL support
While Snapi is an excellent language for combining and manipulating complex structured data, there are times when simplicity is key. That’s why we’re thrilled to announce SQL support on the RAW platform. This new feature allows for the execution of endpoints written in SQL, alongside Snapi endpoints. Currently, in closed beta, we invite you to reach out to us for early access and be part of this exciting development.
And more: Python, Javascript!
Throughout 2024, we’re set to broaden our language support in RAW, besides Snapi and the newly-announced SQL. That’s why we are also excited to announce that we will be rolling out support for Python throughout Q1, and Javascript just after. This means you will be able to write RAW APIs in either SQL, Snapi, Python or Javascript. This addition is a direct response to the diverse needs of our user community: you build APIs where you are most comfortable, and can freely combine all these languages and even allow them to interoperate together, all at full native performance.

High-Performance Code Generation for Snapi
One pivotal moment of 2023 was an internal shift of our code generation engine to the GraalVM/Truffle framework. This move boosted Snapi’s performance but also opened a realm of possibilities that we are eager to explore and share with you in the first quarter of 2024.
Our transition to Truffle is not just a technical upgrade; it’s a leap towards efficiency. Every RAW user will benefit from this change, experiencing up to 10x faster execution times. And the best part? This transition requires no action on your part – it’s all happening seamlessly behind the scenes.
